What is the weirdest Japanese advertising?

Answer by Karen Ma:

A couple of years ago an Osaka department store came up with a few very bright signs that said "F…. Sale."  It was one of those English gaffes that you see from time to time in Japan, but the signs went viral on the Internet.

.A day or two later they were quickly taken down, after the mortified management realized what they had done.   It's not clear who was sitting in on the meeting of the marketing team before the ads went up, or if someone had played a dirty trick on one of the unsuspecting PR managers.   In any case, it sure brightened up the days of many a miserable office worker in the U.S. who saw the picture through instagram.
