… generally suck. Outside of the retail industry, no-one appears to have a clue about customer service. Witness the four cellphone network companies – and the number of complaints against them on Hellopeter.com – Check out Telkom’s customer service  or call centre hell as it otherwise known.

I spent weeks attempting to transfer a domain away from M-Web and am still recovering from the ordeal.

No escalation mechanism, no response from frontline staff, stupid demands to phone immediately after a domain transfer ticket has been submitted and no initiative displayed – until a threat was made to report them to the Competition Commission!
